Here I was all set to knock out a Christmas column full of cheer and bonhomie but life, or more accurately, Daily Life has intervened.
I normally disapprove of intra-media byplays but Fairfax Media’s Daily Life section has become so full of cranky third wave feminism that someone needs to hold it up to the light. Among this waste of ink and kilobyte street corner psychobabble, comes a contribution from self described feminist Polly Dunning who tells her harrowing tale of giving birth to a shame boy. The good news is she’s slowly getting over it.
I’m not allowed to swear anymore, at least not at volume but this is sorely testing my already fragile grip on self-control.
At first blanch this was merely another addition from women who have recently given birth and have come to believe that having done so, they have unlocked the secrets of the universe. But on further reading this is a tale of a woman not just at war with men but also her own male child.

I do support the use of medical marijuana and believe the hemp plant should be used for many many more products. I haven’t been near a left handed cigarette for a long long time. If my comments pull you out from down the rabbit hole even momentarily it must be a good thing.

Will the fellow be a target? Certainly a target for vilification if he gets any real traction and possibly a target for a patriotic nutter acting alone but it would be counterproductive to the cause of those he describes as war criminals for him to be murdered.
If he was still serving in combat, as was Pat Tillman it would be a different matter altogether.

I see the many comments on the other side regarding pensions still. Those with their own home and $500K in financial assets will still receive a taxpayer funded, subsidised Pension worth $24K++ along with all the associated benefits. Those with $600K will still get around $16K +++ Pension. Yet they are somehow being duded and they scream the government should cut the dole and disability pension further. This highlights which generation has the Entitlement mentality, the Baby Boomer’s. As highlighted by many research articles they have had it much better than any other generation of Australians and still whinge the loudest.

You mentioned Andrew Wilkie in his vitriotic whinging speeches that undsr himmtheir will be “no cuts to pensions”
etc . He is happy to take the big pension at the end with rises way above the average person in the street retiree.
His appauling misrepresentations and distortions over the years , spell more rampant nonsense from him we now get the picture from him.
Wilkie danggling on failures in the ME Howards term on his 2003 advice that we must go after Sadam with chemical weapons before he uses them on us and same time told that Sadam with WMD, used them gassing 13000 Kurds , shows he should not be a part of politics in this country .His state of mind is confused now denying this occured after the period of coalition intervention in the ME . His advice was true at the time warning leaders of the coalition forces , but now denies all this happened .It was interesting reading these defence journals on many blunders in the ME and hunting down the “butcher of Bagdad “over time killed millions of people , plus created the worlds worst environmental disaster setting 256 oil wells on fire.
Wilkie was a main player of advice but soon ruptured his once credibility.
